Description Full text of The State of the Union Address by President Gerald Ford as delivered before a joint session of the Congress. The Address outlined the Nation's energy outlook, set forth national energy policy objectives and described actions the President is taking immediately and indicated proposals he is asking the Congress to pass. The President outlined the nation's current economic situation and outlook, and his economic and tax program which are designed to wage a simultaneous three-front campaign against recession, inflation and energy dependence.
