| Description | UK relations over Meat and the Falkland Islands have developed remarkably well despite the balance widening in favour of Argentina bilateral trade. Argentine economy suffered from setbacks. Subversive incidents and widespread disorder in the provinces involving labour, students and dissident groups with the army intervening resulting in deaths. The government appeared to be in trouble and the army put the President on notice to do better. Internationally Argentina appeared pro-Western and anti-Communist. |
